Phoenix Solar Home Sales May 2018
Phoenix area solar home sales picked back up in the Phoenix area according to recent data from the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service (ARMLS) from May 1-31, 2018.
Phoenix Solar Sales in General
There were a total of 343 solar home sales in Maricopa County for the month of May, up 18% from the previous month. Homes with a solar leases (whether monthly lease payments or prepaid monthly solar leases) accounted for 226 of the sales while homes with solar owned electric systems accounted for the balance of 117 of the Phoenix area solar home sales in May 2018.
Median Price for Phoenix Solar Homes
The median price for a solar home in May in Phoenix jumped to $304,000, up from the $290,000 seen in April. Leased solar homes had a median price of $275,000 while the median price for a solar owned home was $368,000. The median price for a single family residence in Maricopa County in May was $294,995.
Marketing Time for Solar Homes
The median days on the market for a resale home in Maricopa County was 37 days in May. Solar in general stayed within reach of the average market with an median time to sell at 44 days (up from 42 in April). Phoenix homes with a solar owned system took a median of 48 days while Phoenix area homes with solar leases were on par with the market at 41 days. The average days on the market for a solar home in Maricopa County was 64 days versus a market average of 56 days (solar leases had an average market time of 59 days while solar owned was 73 days).
