Phoenix Solar Home Sales April 2018
Phoenix area solar home sales slowed down a little in the Phoenix area according to recent data from the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service (ARMLS) from April 1-30, 2018.
Phoenix Solar Sales in General
There were a total of 281 solar home sales in Maricopa County for the month of April, down 30% from the previous month. Homes with a solar leases (whether monthly lease payments or prepaid monthly solar leases) accounted for 180 of the sales while homes with solar owned electric systems accounted for the balance of 101 of the Phoenix area solar home sales in April 2018.
Median Price for Phoenix Solar Homes
The median price for a solar home in April in Phoenix was down slightly to $290,000 from the $300,000 seen in March. Leased solar homes had a median price of $285,924 while the median price for a solar owned home was $309,000. The median price for a single family residence in Maricopa County in April was $280,000.
Marketing Time for Solar Homes
The median days on the market for a resale home in Maricopa County was 37 days in April. Solar in general stayed within reach of the average market with an median time to sell at 42 days (down from 43 in March). Phoenix homes with a solar owned system took a median of 48 days while Phoenix area homes with solar leases were on par with the market at 36 days. The average days on the market for a solar home in Maricopa County was 68 days versus a market average of 57 days (solar leases had an average market time of 59 days while solar owned was 73 days).
